🌟 Editor's Note
2025 was a weird year for me. I was working at Epic again as a contractor through a different company, after the 2023 layoff, and then was cut again. I failed to find the right space within the contracting company in the three or so months I had to find something and ultimately I left.

I’m extremely fortunate to have a partner that allowed me the time and space to breath a bit after 9 years of Epic. That time has given me the space to put some effort into my own well being with my ADHD struggles, get better acquainted with keeping the house clean :), make some super tasty dinners, and create FPC. I did a lot of talking about what FPC was going to be in 2025. In 2026, we’re going to put those actions to words.

Thank you for being here.

The 2025 FPC Rapped

I know everyone is sick of Wrappeds. How about a Rapped? This year we partnered with Mek_4Real to make an unforgettable end of year wrap up video. Check it out!

Let’s start the year off with some dialogue

We’ve got one! Well, technically we’ve got two, but you’re all invited to this one.

Join for the best place to get news and updates, chat with the team, and once we get rolling, dev and backer spaces! We’re starting pretty small with the Discord but will update channels as needed.

Branding

From the website to our socials, we’re revamping our branding to fit with our amazing new style guide. In fact, it won’t take a trained eye to see the changes here. Black and pink and yellow and purples abound!

The Pilot

This is the big one.

In 2026 we’re opening things up to our first funded project. It’s time to put down some sweet indie game vibes and get started on helping get this industry back on track. Watch this space (and all of our other spaces) for news on this.

Every newsletter we’re going to feature a dev, highlight their work, and just overall boost them to our readers. This week we’ve got:

Rockett Hunt are currently working on Captcha the Flag, due in March of 2026. Check them out at the Steam link above and wishlist!

A capture the flag PvP game where your ability to read an analog clock or tell which animal is a mammal is the difference between life and death! Every reload of your weapon requires a Captcha, so you can laugh at your friends when they suddenly forget how to do basic tasks while being shot at.

The Team

Every newsletter, once a week we’re going to show off and talk about one of our amazing found-team members!

Anthony Franklin II

Indie Game Archaeologist – Communications

Anthony is a games journalist with 12 years of experience, specializing in uncovering and championing indie games. He also spent a year with indie publisher Untold Tales, writing Steam descriptions, editing in-game dialogue, and supporting light community management.

He joined Fair Play Collective after seeing an opportunity to help make the games industry better—because games are art, and it’s long past time we treat them that way.

Outside of gaming, Anthony is a devoted Philadelphia Eagles fan (and doesn’t argue about his QB), and he’s almost always listening to music.

Like what happened here? Share it with some other folks?

Ready to be done with this adventure? That’s ok.

That’s it! That’s the newsletter. What did you think? Was it up to your standards? There’s lots more to come next week, so stay tuned and share FPC out far and wide!
